Library Mall (End of State Street away from Capitol), 975 Bascom Mall,Madison,WI
The largest protest in Wisconsin’s rich labor history is expected to happen this Saturday in opposition to Governor Walker’s war on the working class, students, and all oppressed people of Wisconsin.
SDS will lead a student contingent calling on on Scott Walker to end his war on the workers and students, and stop the separation/privatization of the University of Wisconsin system. SDS chapters from Wisconsin,Illinois,Missouri,Oklahoma, and North Carolina have already traveled to Madison for this historic event. We call on students everywhere to come to Madison and kill this attack on our rights before it spreads elsewhere.
*Join the student contingent at 11am at the Library Mall to march up state street to the rally of 1-200,000 people.*

These last weeks in Madison,Columbus,Indianapolis and in every town where people are protesting is the best civics lesson any American could get! Though the Republican-controlled mainstream media refuses to cover the significance and scope of these historic uprisings,at least we have the internet and social networks! At the age of 55,I am inspired and awestruck by the inclusiveness of all sots of people of all political stripes who are finally getting off their butts and out to the streets to say NO! to the fascism that Republicns have been perpetrating in these state legislatures. As Michael Moore said in Madison,WE HAVE HAD IT! I have to believe our founding fathers are watching over us;we,the people, are now coming together to reclaim our right to make our country what they meant it to be –a society of human beings who want equality, liberty, and justice for all.
